Oak Parabolic Stool
The parabolic stool was designed as an unlikely seat. It was inspired by the sculptural simplicity of the classical chinese farmers stool, alongside the corrugation of Brancussi’s Endless Column. The oak staves of the stool are steambent and tapered to achieve a curve in two dimensions. They are then shaped by hand to give the ridged profile. Surpisingy its quite comfortable.
